I'd recommend defensive shields with matched elements - so a Shadow shield against Shadow enemies, etc - because they really do make a difference. At 5* the easily-attainable variants are Skolver (more of the same - always a solid choice) and Vog Cub (attack speed boost over attack damage - better for slow swords or shield play).Ī good all-around defensive set at 5* would split Skolver with (I think?) Miracle gear, a 5* Magic set piece, for some defense against every element, a good set of status resistances, and a useful +2 sword damage boost. Look up the Wolver set (2*) and lines for a damage bonus. The theme is usually to pick armour for its offensive boosts, because it's pretty expensive to make a set for each element and the boosts do make a difference when stacked up. Sets depend much more on which weapons you favour, as well as how much you're willing to grind. Recommendations are somewhat different because you're new - you'll have a rough time of it going for Chaos/Black Kat sets. It's descent you can do pretty good on most levels with this setup imo. For regular play my first 5* set was Snarby helm + Showsun slicker + Divine avenger + Polaris + Aegis. Having your weapons fully heated is also super important it doesnt seem like much but especially the jump from level 7 to level 10 gives a huge dps spike.Įdit: OK I thought you meant best set for lockdown lol.

What I did for weapons was prisma and umbra driver with damage trinket for max and penta heart pendant. If you go gunner just get the shadowsun set. Not 100% sure but if you go guardian I think you get max with everything before trinkets but if you need a trinket to get max prioritised charge time reduction and then get a penta heart pendant. Nitrome is obviously the easiest to string and ash of agni has high dps with the fire effect especially when people use black kat. Now the shields: Get a grey owlite shield for all purpose use or a swiftstrike buckler for swords, If you're feeling daring, don't equip a shield and slap on some DOOM soundtracks, you'll be the horrorīest bomber set is: mad bomber set with nitrome+ash of agni+voltaic tempest(although this one triggers people the most).
Bombers, I'm not sure of as I've had no experience with them, onto the weapons: for swords I'd suggest high damage and high asi swords like any of the brandish line, if you want to be a heavy hitter, try the sealed sword lines and the troika lines, mix and match your favorites, for guns I would highly recommend the iron slug and any Antigua or Pulsar line of your choice (and blitz needle for vana) personally, the elemental line would benefit the best but moving on, if you want to be a hybrid, again chaos or black kat is best, along with a brandish line and blitz needle. Honestly, my suggestion would be between the chaos set of black Kat set if you are the saint of dodging, if not then I'd suggest the cog cub set or skolver set for swords and Deadshot mantle set for guns.
